This day last week I spent last period watching year nine play football.  I did exactly the same today with one HUGE difference … the weather!

Last week I had my cardigan on, my coat on and zipped up, my gloves on and I kept walking up and down the side of the pitch in a vain attempt to warm up … no rain but it was very windy and cold.

Today I had my cardigan with me but I stood there enjoying the sunshine, I even had my sunglasses on!  What a difference some sunshine makes!  Yesterday was equally glorious.  Instead of walking as fast as I could to the other gym facilities (split site for games, approx 5min walk) I dawdled a little bit, enjoying the gorgeous sunshine and listening to the birds.  Some trees near school have lovely fuzzy bits on (can’t remember proper phrasing duh) and the privet near the main site changing rooms is starting to sprout leaves … nicely in time for the Vernal Equinox on Friday

Yesterday and today have truly been the kind of days those who suffer from S.A.D. long for during the winter months … lovely lovely sunshine
