I am so seriously in need of a head change, it is SO not in the right place and hasn’t been for weeks now. Six weeks ago my overall weight loss was 3st 10.5, the week after that I celebrated passing my 4stone off milestone. Unfortunately my overall weight loss is now back down to 3st 10.
I know how Slimming World works, I am proof that it DOES work. However for the last few weeks I have NOT been working. I was lackadaisical, not checking things, too confident. Then I wasn’t well, felt very “sod-it” and ate things I know fine well create a negative result. Two Wednesdays ago I said I was going to plan and write things down, I did neither of those sensible things but did managed a maintain. Last Wednesday I again said I was going to plan for the week and keep a food diary, again I didn’t but also failed to eat my 1/3 superfree veg every meal in a fairly major way. In fact, looking back over the week, the cider, biscuits and bread … I’m probably lucky not to have gained more. I guess there were some good meals (I doubt days) in amongst the other stuff.
I’m not going to plan tonight, if I do any I’ll do it on Friday, possibly take books into work and do it at lunch time so I can shop on the way home. I am too blah and down to concentrate this evening and am hopefully going out tomorrow. I am still going to the gym, I enjoy that and hopefully it will eventually help tighten up my skin at least a bit.

I’ve put on a daft half pound this week – lost 1.5 last week – gained 2 the previous week – so know where you are coming from – I too have been messing about – been over-confident and somewhat complacent .. with the result that the elusive 3st 7lb weight loss that I should have had a month ago – remains out of my grasp! You and I both know IT WORKS .. so why oh why do we sabbotage ourselves like this??? I think we need to diary in some time together soon so that we can synchronise our sw clocks and get back to basics with this damn battle. x
Sounds like a very good idea that Mags, I remember what a fantastic weight loss I had the week I stayed with you in February!!!
… me too! The secret is in the planning – and no cheating – because we’re only cheating ourselves!!! I’m back on track today loads and loads of veg with lunch and dinner … fruit with breakfast – stuffed full and no syns yet … and I’ve got a weetabix in reserve for supper later! I’m also thinking about doing a repeat of our great week-menu if I do I’ll send you a copy. Good luck for this week xxx
