I love my kindle, I have literally hundreds of books on it but virtually all of them were ‘purchased’ on amazon while they were free. There are a few that I actually paid for and the latest of these is the read I want to share with you …
It’s not expensive, in fact it’s very cheap, only 99p and in my opinion well worth more.
This isn’t Andrew’s first publication, he’s previously published two books on chicken keeping, his first was the first ever interactive iBook! They are Chickens As Pets and Raising Chickens Indoors. He also has a book of his poetry available on Kindle too, Cannibal Delia. Sorry, those are all links to the Kindle editions, but the chicken books are available for ipads
I’ve had a mixed day today. Started by reporting the leak where they put the vent back in the bathroom wall after redoing render on end wall. Lovely lunch with Ladies Who Lunch from previous school I worked in. Some compliments & I was wearing a new top and feeling gorgeous so graciously accepted them, a skill I am working on lol. Lovely visit & tea with my son. Continue reading »
I spent the day with my Aunt, I collect her, bring her back here to visit shops (today only Whelans Chemist, Superdrug, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Ryman (a stationary shop) then take her back home, usually some “will you just”ing to do, eventually I get to go back home. Sometimes there is a lunch stop, today the shopping was followed by a ‘lunch’ *sigh* There are few places that are easily accessible when a wheelchair is involved, these are limited by my Aunt, and none have Healthy Friendly Food. Today ‘lunch’ was a stop at Costa where she had a massimo hot chocolate and a fruit scone with jam and cream and I had a massimo skinny latte (not sure how I ended up with a massimo latte, meant to get a medium lol) and a Banana & Pecan Breakfast Loaf (delish).
That ‘lunch’ was SO not following the Slimming World Healthy Eating Plan and seems the opposite of the title … we’re getting there though lol
When I finally head home I pass a famous shop … famous for delicious icecream, and cheap sweets! Over the years it has become something of a habit … stopping to ‘reward’ myself for a day holding my tongue, being pleasant and pushing my aunt around taking as long as she needs/wants.
However today … I kept going! Saying to myself “this is not the icecream you are looking for, this is not the icecream you are looking for” lol. It was a little harder to resist than it might have been. I’d slept in, breakfast was a cereal bar on the move, then lunch was the breakfast bar … so my tummy was rather empty!
Tea was a stir-fry, red kidney bean, tomato mugshot & a couple of carrots … whoops! No beetroot!!!
no, not Droids but Icecreams lol
We really do appreciate it, and all the wonderful cooking Mags has done. We’ve been staying with Mags for a week, all following the lovely and healthy Slimming World eating plan with a wondrous result!
Debra lost 7lbs and I have lost 8.5lbs!!!!! Wow indeed Mags lost 2lbs too, not as big a loss but then she sticks to this all the time. It’s Debra’s first week on the healthy eating plan and me … well if I just stopped going “off piste” I would already be a lot lighter so my losses here wouldn’t be so amazing. We are both very chuffed and grateful to our personal chef … Slimming World Spa? Brilliant idea!!!
Well 199 steps sounds a lot but since we (Debra, Holly, Mags & I) only went down them it was easy peasy. However Mr Mags (who dropped us off Up Above, went back & was brought back & dropped off himself) managed to miss us at the church, go down, look around the shops and then run back up them (two at a time!) before walking down them with us. So he actually did 597 steps!
We (Debra, Mags, Mr Mags & I) went for a wander, well not really a wander it was to be an easy one mile walk that Mags does all the time. A gentle start walk to encourage our health & enjoy the countryside.
However Mr Mags decided wouldn’t it be interesting to walk down here, where they used to take their dog … hmmm not a decision I enjoyed. I was wearing a skirt and sandals & there were lots and lots and lots of nettles … which bit!!!
